Surprise!

This potbelly seahorse (hippocampus abdominalis) was observed in Botany Bay (south Sydney, Australia). Down there, it can be seen on the reef, in search for a meal made of small crustaceans.
As it feeds, the potbelly seahorse often wraps its tail around one of the many seatulips (a colourful type of sponge). Sea tulips are found in variou colours, and saw potential for a pleasing photograph, when noticing this potbelly seahorse between sea tulips of the same colour. I then waited for the moment where the seahorse would glance at the camera, in between feeds.
