Grey nurse shark injured by a fish hook, Bass Point, Australia
Whilst grey nurse sharks became protected in 1984, they are still threatened by illegal fishing, accidental catch, and regularly get injured by fishing hooks.
A hook might infer their ability to hunt, or worse, kill them if ingested.
